In baseball, "MVR" stands for Mound Visits Remaining. Consequently, it refers to several times when a team can visit the pitcher on the mound before a substitution without carrying through. MVR baseball rule was introduced in 2018 by Major League Baseball (MLB) to speed up the game by restricting mound visits that are unnecessary and preventing stoppage time to enhance the pace of play.
